About Eagle Telephone System

Eagle started as a small rural independant telephone company providing local service to the Richland area under the management of Babe Alexander and his wife Evelyn using party lines as a form of communications.

In 1973, Robert and Lillian Lattin purchased the company from Evelyn and began providing service under their direction. When Robert and Lillian started running the company they originally had 14 party lines served with an open wire aerial service.

In 1976 the system was upgraded to direct dialing, thus eliminating the party line form of communications. Under Roberts' direction, the company expanded their services to New Bridge, Sparta and eventually to the remote areas of Eagle Creek.

Recently Eagle expanded their territory to include the Connor Creek area in the Snake River Corridor between Huntington and Richland Oregon.

The company has continued to expand their service offerings to include High Speed DSL, Wireless Internet and most recently, Fiber to the Home within the Richland city limits.

As technologies continue to develop and expand Eagle will continue to grow and become an even more valuable resource to its customers.
